Hi Everyone,
My name is Jessica. I recently was introduced to a great health and wellness company that produces all non-toxic, environmentally safe products. This company has been around for over 21 years. I was unaware of how many dangers we live with every day right in our own homes. In-door air pollution is actually becoming one of our nations biggest concerns. The toxins that are found in our everyday household products floored me, for ex. did you know that some deodorants contain propane, butane and formaldehyde. The same with our dishwashing detergents..formaldehyde, ethanol and ethers. It's interesting, just take a look sometime at the ingredients on your cleaning products, shampoos, soaps, cosmetics..it's actually really scary. I was so unaware of this. Imagine using this day after day, year after year, the harm that it may cause. Imagine if your child ate or drank any of this stuff! I was educated to shop smarter and safer, and am very thankful that I did. I would love to share the info on this company with you. If you are interested, just let me know. We all want to provide safer, healthier lives for our families. Nice meeting you!
Shari

Hi Jessica.

Thank you for this informative post. About 15 years ago I started having problems with my skin. I would get lots of small blisters on my hands and other areas of my body. The blisters would burst, get very itchy and my skin would start to flake off. It was horrid and created a lot of stress and moodiness in me.

I went from one Dr. to another specialist and was just being told it is contact dermatitis, given steroid creams and told to wear gloves before I commence cleaning etc.

As it turns out, my condition became worse because I have an allergy to latex. Hence it was the rubber gloves causing most of my problems. I forgot about my allergy until recently when I started wearing rubber thongs on my feet because I moved to the tropics. Wow did I get a reminder of my allergy. It has taken lots of treatment and special care to get my feet back to normal. Anyway, I eventually went to see a naturapathic specialist all those years ago. The best treatment was "organic". I started reading labels and yes it is very scary. The chemicals we expose ourselves to are very toxic and some once in the body cannot be eliminated. Like alluminium which is found in antiperspirants.

Since I started using organic products I only get reactions through forgetting and/or using a new product. I have to be vigilant about reading labels as my allergy tests show I am allergic to many base metals, certain chemicals as well as latex.

Thanks for starting this thread. I look forward to hearing more about ways to make our homes and body toxic free.

Wow Shari,

I know Latex allergies can be awful!! Thank goodness you discovered it, it sounds like you went through a lot to get to where you are now. I'm so glad it is all working out now. I know, it is unbelievable the "junk" they put in stuff these days and frankly quite scary! I'm so glad that we do have the option to buy healthier, if only more people were aware of the dangers. Thanks for sharing your story. It is very nice to meet you. Hope to chat in the future.
